  • Tree and Stump Removal

We all know that trees are a vital part of our ecosystem, and have many benefits. Some of these include: increased property value, decreased heating and cooling costs as well as an increase in our own feeling of well-being. Like all living things trees have a lifecycle.

As trees near the end of their lifespan they may become liabilities in the sense that dead or decaying trees or hanging limbs may cause property damage or injury. Decaying trees may become so weak that they become a risk for blowing down during high winds causing injuries and significant property damage.

It is of prime importance to manage dying trees before they are completely dead. Removing trees that are completely dead can increase the risk of injury to the removal team and will greatly increase the cost of the removal for the property owner.

Lanktree Tree Services can assist property owners with tree health assessments that will identify trees that require removal, or pruning to minimize the risk of injury or damage.

For our London customers when a tree is removed Lanktree Tree Services will make a donation to ReForest London to have a tree planted on their behalf.

We can help with tree removal applications under London's new tree protection bylaw.
Learn more about the tree protection bylaw here.

  • Pruning and Trimming

Trimming and Pruning is important in eliminating dead, broken or diseased branches. Pruning will allow for more light and air to penetrate the canopy which will increase the health of the tree, and will allow for better fruit or flower production.

Trimming can elevate the tree to allow for clearance for buildings and for rights-of-way.

  • Storm Response

Lanktree Tree Services offers 24-hour storm response. Call 519.281.1803, 24-hours for storm service. High winds and storms can cause significant damage to trees and property. Fallen trees can block rights-of-way for emergency response teams. Lanktree Tree Services is skilled and trained to provide safe, efficient removal of fallen trees and debris minimizing damage.

  • Tree Pest Management

Unfortunately in Southwestern Ontario the Emerald Ash Borer has ravaged our native Ash Tree species, and has left trees that have significantly diminished canopies. In the most Southern Regions of the province treatment of these Ash trees is generally no longer a feasible solution. These trees may be beyond treatment, and sadly property owners need to plan for the safe removal of these dead or dying trees. Leaving dying trees on your property can cause safety concerns for people and property, and the best plan would be to have them removed sooner, rather than later. Leaving trees to be removed after they are completely dead causes safety concerns for the team removing the trees, and certainly drives up the cost of tree removal.

For our neighbours in the more northerly area of Ontario, around Kincardine, Port Elgin and Southhampton and areas further north including Manitoulin Island there may still be time to treat your Ash trees with a plan to save them with TreeAzin treatment.

TreeAzin is a treatment that can save your Ash trees if used early and proactively. This is an annual or biannual treatment, please speak to one of our Arborists to find out if TreeAzin treatment will be appropriate for your circumstance.

In Canada along with the Emerald Ash Borer, TreeAzin is registered for use against:

    • Gypsy Moth
    • Tent Caterpillars
    • Jack Pine Budworm
    • Arborvitae Leafminers

  • Planting

  • Deep Root Fertilization

Urban trees need fertilization to increase their health and overall appearance.

Unlike trees in a forest environment that receive nutrients from rotting or decaying vegetation on the forest floor, urban trees do not get this natural fertilization. That is why deep root fertilization is beneficial to urban trees and shrubs, replenishing the natural mineral elements and promoting healthy growth.
